MTP Medical Technologies GmbH is a subsidiary of Serumwerk Bernburg AG.
At its Pirna location, the company develops and produces high-quality medical devices, for hemodialysis in particular.

The company’s core business is the production of the VitaPES® series of dialyzer products proven in clinical applications around the world. Also included in its product range are, among other things, components and products for ophthalmology and gastroenterology.
For more than 100 years, artificial silk and cellulose fibers for technical, textile and also medical purposes have been produced at the location rich in tradition in Pirna in the German state of Saxony. For more than 40 years, materials and products for dialysis are developed and produced here. Pirna is located in the immediate vicinity of Dresden as well as the charming Elbe Sandstone Mountains.
MTP Medical Technologies GmbH was established as a 100% subsidiary of the Serumwerk Bernburg AG in 2007. Since 2008, dialyzers are being produced here on a state-of-the-art production line. Additional production areas include form-fill-seal manufacturing for the filling of fluids and an area for manufacturing small customer-specific product series in the clean room.
The company is certified in accordance with the ISO 13485 quality management standard for medical devices and the European Directive MDD 93/42 Directive for medical devices.
